Indian students offered updated information on Australian study visas
London: A student visa information webinar will take place on Wednesday 5th August by Insider Guides for Indian students who are interested in studying at an Australian university.
According to Alex Chevrolle, CEO of Study Group Australia, the Webinar is on time and on message: “This webinar is perfect timing. It is sponsored by Charles Sturt University Study Centres and will feature guest Matthew Noble, Director of Student and Graduate Visas Section at the Department of Home Affairs in Australia and Varsha Devi Balakrishnan, National Secretary of the Council of International Students Australia, talking about the visa changes and what it means for international students in Australia and overseas.”
Topics to be covered at the webinar include:
Working rights of international students
Fee waivers
OSHC extensions
Application processing times
Post-study work visas
Further Chevrolle added:“Two weeks ago, the Australian Government announced visa policy changes which opened the way for students to start their courses online and complete them in Australia once the borders reopen. Study Group is delighted that students who want to come to Australia can now apply for their visas. At the start of this year Australia had 120,127 Indian students studying in Australia which has almost doubled from 71,981 in 2015.”
