Mumbai: Addressing the ever increasing demand of ‘one-stop’ solution for career discovery & skilling courses for graduates, working professionals and students , India’s first integrated marketplace for EdTech solutions ‘SKILL MONKS’ announces its official launch. Brainchild of Mr. Rameswar Mandali, a serial entrepreneur with 12+ years of experience in Detach space, SKILL MONKS aims to democratize the access to information and connect customers and training partners under one roof with focus on Quality, Affordability and Accessibility while offering other business solutions.
SKILL MONKS started as an integrated market place platform in the EdTech space in Feb, 2020 with its first seed funding of 2Cr. Since then the company has on-boarded 125 plus training partners, top skill financing companies, 6500 registered users, 70000 followers on social media and 750 active customers on the platform. In the last six months, SKILL MONKS has also conducted 10+ industry connect programs and 30 tech talk sessions. New age tools like Edvisers, Techtalks and AI based recommendations have been leveraged to assist in career discovery to choose the right courses and connect the aspirant to the right partner in one go. With transparency at the core of the business, SKILL MONKS business model is designed to offer least course fee, skill financing, placement assistance/ certification and 100% course fee refund if quality standards are not met.
Commenting on the launch of the company, Mr. Rameswar Mandali, CEO and Founder of SKILL MONKS, said ‘During my entrepreneurial journey, I have spent a considerable amount of time researching on need gaps in the skilling area and that’s how the concept of marketplace for education was born. It took almost 2 years to bring the concept alive and I decided to start SKILL MONKS.’
To begin with the focus is towards IT skills which include Fresh skills, Reskilling and Upskilling, Exam preparation including Govt Jobs. The platform currently has a list of courses from reputed institutions with complete and unbiased information, which includes institute information, course information, faculty details, fee details, student reviews, placement information, and certifications amongst others. Aspirants can choose best suited courses ranging from AI, Data Science, Cyber Security, DevOps, Digital Marketing, Multimedia, Full Stack, Python, Web Dev, Ethical hacking Java and testing. ‘The current pandemic has fast-tracked the adaptation of online learning that was otherwise growing at a moderate pace while struggling to get peoples’ trust and mindshare. We decided to start our services in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the first phase as these markets hold huge potential for integrated B2B2C services. The model is asset light and scalable.
