India’s Global Influence Unavoidable, Says FM Nirmala Sitharaman at IMF Meeting

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized that no country, including the US or China, can ignore India. Speaking at a panel discussion titled “Bretton Woods Institutions at 80: Priorities for the Next Decade” during the World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings 2024 in Washington, DC, she highlighted India’s growing global influence, noting that one in every six people is Indian, and the world cannot overlook India’s economy.
