Indo-Canadian Seminar to focus on Skill, Innovation &Entrepreneurship

New Delhi: In pursuit of new ideas in the field of entrepreneurship and to focus on quality training in skill development, Seneca College of Canada is organising an Indo-Canadian Seminar in New Delhi on February 18, 2018.
Indo-Canadian Seminar on Skill development and Entrepreneurship will highlight Ontario College system and share the Indo-Canadian success stories of Seneca’s India partnerships in Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The day-long event will hold two Panel discussions. Panel I delegates and experts will deliberate on skill development whereas Panel II will witness detailed discussion on entrepreneurship and innovation from India and Canadian stakeholders on the need of skill development and entrepreneurship training in India. Focus would be on –how can Indian and Canadian institutions work together in collaborativespirit to support leaders of today and tomorrow? After the panel discussions, the invitees would be engaged in meaningful Questions and Answers (Q&A) session and come out with actionable solutions.
Giving details of the event, Mr. David Agnew, President, Seneca College said, “The collaborative session of the Indo-Canadian seminar is expected to result in tangible outcomes in the area of skill development and entrepreneurship. We are looking forward to showcase the Indo-Canadian partnership in pursuit of new ideas and leaders in the field of entrepreneurship.”
The seminar will be inaugurated by Mr. David Agnew along with Seneca’s Indian partner institutions, in presence of senior representatives of leading Indian Colleges and Universities, Government and Industry representatives from Canada and India.
The Seminar aims to recognise the urgent need for quick reorganization of the skill development and entrepreneurial ecosystem. There is a need of connect between Industry and Academia in India.In Canada, Industry stakeholders are consulted and are part of program advisory committee at Ontario Colleges. The programs embed cross-disciplinary and experientiallearning and provide flexible learning options that enable students to learn during the day, in the evening, on weekends and in person and online.Collaboration in entrepreneurial ecosystem can create global impact, Indian and Canadian youth ledstart-ups can work together to provide innovativesolutions. The seminar will present deliberationson importance of entrepreneurship to the local and global community.
