Indore’s MY Hospital will be be made a model hospital – CM Chouhan
Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital of Indore will be made a model hospital by giving it a modern look. The government is committed to provide all necessary facilities for modernization and expansion of this hospital, which provides treatment to more than 5000 poor people every day. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said this during a discussion with Minister of Water Resources, Fisheries Welfare and Fisheries Development Shri Tulsiram Silavat. Minister Shri Silavat urged Chief Minister Shri Chouhan in Mantralaya today to develop MY Hospital of Indore as Model Hospital and to speed up the construction of School of Excellence for Eye of MGM Medical College Indore and increase the allotted amount.
Poor patients should constantly get world-class medical facilities – Minister Shri Silavat
Minister Shri Silavat said that it is important to modernize the MY Hospital by renovating it by renovating it in order to maintain its reputation and to ensure availability of world class medical facilities to poor patients. Minister Shri Silavat urged Chief Minister Shri Chouhan to provide state-of-the-art and essential arrangements with the objective of developing Maharaja Yashwantrao (MY) Hospital Indore as a model hospital. He stated the need to install a modern radio therapy machine “Linear-accelerator” in Government Cancer Hospital, Indore. He said that new departments like Emergency Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Virology, Critical Care Medicine need to be opened in MY Hospital Indore. He talked about converting old operation theatres into modular operation theatres, setting up a new 200-bed trauma centre and emergency centre in view of the increasing number of accident cases. Shri Silavat urged that arrangements for joint replacement, orthroscopy, spine surgery and sports injury surgery as well as endocrine medicine and surgery.
Minister Shri Silavat urged the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan that e-hospital and e-office system should be implemented for online appointment and systematic record keeping of patients. He also drew attention towards starting construction of multi-level modern parking and multi-level staff quarters for doctors and staff and NABH recognition.
School of Excellence for Eye
Minister Shri Silavat urged Chief Minister Shri Chouhan to increase the budget allocation for the newly established School of Excellence for Eye of MGM Medical College Indore. It may be noted that this school is being built as an excellent centre for all types of eye surgery. Poor citizens will be able to avail facilities equipped with high quality equipment without any expense. The target is to conduct 10,000 surgeries here in a year. Currently the building is being constructed. The School of Excellence for Eye will have international level services as well as fellowship facility in teaching and all specialties.
