Induction programme organized
ALIGARH: The Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a 15-day induction programme based on transitional curriculum of NCISM for the newly admitted undergraduate BUMS students.
Addressing the inaugural session, the chief guest, Prof Abu Bakar Khan, former Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine and former Chairman, Department of Moalejat stressed the importance of Nuskha Nawisi, adding that Unani prescription writing skills are the vital part of this profession. He said Unani medicine has a global perspective and it is gaining popularity with every passing day.
The guest of honour, Prof. Mohd Muhiul Haque Siddiqui, former Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine and former Chairman, Department of llaj Bit Tadbeer said AMU has a rich heritage of result oriented teaching and research works and its teachers are a valuable asset for the university in every field of studies.
Prof Shagufta Aleem, Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine said that the 15-day undergraduate induction programme is a mandatory part of NCISM and the Ministry of AYUSH and it will benefit the participants.
The Principal of Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Prof B D Khan urged the students to open their minds and focus on learning the professional ethics as well, while pursuing their studies. He expressed confidence within a short span of time, Unani medicine will become their first choice as a stream of knowledge.
Earlier, welcoming the guests, the programme coordinator, Dr Abdul Aziz Khan highlighted the main features and objectives of the programme and discussed the details of the transitional curriculum of the NCISM in threadbare.
Dr Saba Zaidi conducted the progamme and Dr Ammar Ibne Anwar, Coordinator, Undergraduate Induction Programme extended the vote of thanks.
