Industry Institute Meet at Dept of Mechanical Engineering

Aligarh : B. Tech and M. Tech students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) were provided with a practical perspective of the world of work in the ‘Industry Institute Meet’ held on November 5.

Speaking to the students, Vijay Kumar Sharma (Senior Management Professional, Pavana Industries Ltd) stressed: “Collaboration between industry and academia is key to enhance innovation and growth in technology”.

He discussed the basics of engineering in small and medium scale industries and pressed the students to put in extra efforts to compete.

Vijay Kumar encouraged students to regularly update their knowledge according to the needs of the industry.

In the welcome address, Prof M Muzammil (Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering) spoke on the importance of synergy between industry and institute.

“A strong collaboration between academia and industry helps develop the economy, enabling innovation, growth in the education system and producing an organization-ready workforce”, he said.

Prof Mohammad Ali extended the vote of thanks and Mohammad Nasir Khan conducted the programme.
