Industry internship presentations judged
ALIGARH : Sauda Parveen, an MBA student at the Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University secured the first rank in report presentation after completing a two-month internship programme, while Haya Suhel Rehmany and Keshav Kaushik were declared second and third, respectively, for their presentations.
The Judges’ special award was given to Mahwash Fatma, Mohammad Zaid Khan, Mohammad Adnan Khan and Sayed Aemad, while other commendable presentations were made by Mohd Kashif Naseem, Firdaus Ansari and Farhan Farooqi.
Prof Mohammad Ali, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Prof Salman Hameed, Department of Electrical Engineering were the judges, who assessed the presentations on the basis of content, presentation, recommendations and defense to the queries raised by the panel.
Prof Mohammad Ali appreciated the hard work made by the presenters covering diverse fields including operations, information technology, human resources and finance.
Prof Hameed remarked that the presentations were good in content and writing.
Prof Salma Ahmed, Chairperson of the department said that the MBA students undergo a two-month’s internship during summer and on return, they make a presentation, assessed by the teachers. She said that for the first time, 20 top-ranking students made their presentations before a panel of judges, under the supervision and guidance of the teachers-in-charge Prof Fiza Tabassum Azmi and Dr Asif Akhtar.
She further added that the initiative was undertaken to acknowledge the hard work and commitment of students and motivate them for taking internship projects seriously.
