Industry-University Interface
ALIGARH : Experts from Samsung India Electronics Pvt Ltd discussed various opportunities and challenges for students in the industrial segment of job market and stressed the need for creating an interface between academia and industry at a programme organized by the Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University.
The Industry-University Interface programme was held with the objective to develop relationship and collaboration between the corporate world and the Aligarh Muslim University so that students can avail internships, live projects and the better understanding of the job scenario in the corporate world.
Mr Usama Shakeel (Senior Manager, Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd.) conducted a session on “Indian Mobile Industry Ecosystem”. He explained the importance of internship and live projects for professional development and learning of students.
Prof Asadullah Khan (Director, IQAC) urged the students to upgrade their technical and soft skills to achieve greater successes in life. He emphasized the importance of innovation for technological advancement and highlighted challenges in the corporate world created by the Covid pandemic. He called upon students to focus and utilise their skills in becoming job providers and job-seekers.
Earlier welcoming the Samsung officials, Dr Muzamil Mushtaq (Assistant Professor and Assistant TPO General) highlighted the aims and objectives of the event and provided a perceptive of students and the corporate sector for their mutual benefit.
Mr Saad Hameed (Training and Placement Officer General) proposed to establish long-term relations with Samsung India Electronics for internships and job opportunities for students. He also proposed a vote of thanks.
Certificate of appreciation were also distributed to the participants followed by an interactive session between students and the Samsung team.
Ms Mirza Fiza Baig, a student of MHRM and TPO volunteer, conducted the programme.
