INFS launches online Badminton course to amp up the game for beginners
New Delhi: Institute of Nutrition and Fitness Sciences (INFS), one of the largest fitness certification institute in the country, is all set to launch a structured online coaching program for Badminton in association with Natekar Sports and Fitness. Aiming to build a digitally enabled sports revolution in India, the digital course will make professional coaching accessible to all. The beginners will gain from the experience and knowledge of seasoned coaches and improve their game. The course opens for enrolment from December 22nd onwards.
Upon enrolling for the digital course, the students will be able to access an online dashboard where they will be able to see eight different modules to be viewed for consecutive weeks. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it will help the beginners improvise their sports skills with the help of videos and written material. The modules also include comprehensive knowledge about the sport, types of equipment required, warm-up & basic movement drills, advanced movement drills, gameplay plans, recovery, and hydration tips, among other things.
Commenting on the launch, Ms. Jyoti Dabas, Founder, INFS, said, “We at INFS believe in providing the best of fitness and sports education to the enthusiasts. When we thought about launching an online sports course, we knew that it has to be with the best in the business, and NSF came on-board. Presented by international badminton coach Jose George, the advantage of the digital course is that the participants have the freedom to learn the game at their own pace. Besides, they will have access to online forums to clear their doubts. We are planning to launch digital courses for other sports as well in the coming days. We believe that Sports will be the answer to the everyday declining activity levels and sedentary lifestyle.”
Gaurav Natekar, former India no 1 Tennis player said, “ We are excited to be partnering with INFS for this unique and innovative initiative to help more people in India to learn sport. At NSF, we believe that there should always be ‘profit with a purpose’ and through this endeavor, we hope to reach out to the millions of Indians who want to learn to play a sport but don’t have access to proper coaching and guidance.”
This is the second in the series of online sports and fitness training courses introduced by INFS. The first Calisthenics was launched in July earlier this year and has garnered rave reviews with hundreds signing up and putting the fun back in their workouts.
