Intellectuals Meet to be held at CGC Landran
5TH CGC International MUN to commence from 1st Feb
The Model United Nations (MUN) SOCIETY of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran is organising the 5th edition of CGC International MUN on 1st and 2nd Feburary 2020. Around 250 schools/ colleges/ university students from across North India are going to be a part of the panel discussions of this intellectual Meet and will role-play the delegates of United Nations and simulate UN committees. Campus Ambassador (CA) from other institutes are also being called to become a member of CGC international MUN conference and they would be certified as a member of CGC InternationalMUN.
LT General KJ Singh, PVSM, AVSM, BAR (VETERAN) will be the chief guest for the event.
The Committees and Agendas for the MUN include UNGA-DISEC where the role of science and technology in the context of international security and disarmament will be discussed while, UNHRC (Combating discrimination and violence based on religion or beliefs), Climate Change Summit (Discussing the issue of climate change), AIPPM (Job creation and employment, Creating future roadmap of Development in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladhakh) and International Press (Photographers, Reporters, caricaturists) will be the other Committees.
A special Committee PRAYAAS (Special Committee for specially-abled) will hold a special discussion on ‘One nation, One language’. There is no registration fee for this committee.
“The Model United Nations, will surely enhance the substantial researching, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, as well as critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities of the students” said Dean International, CGC Landran, Dr. Ramandeep Saini who is also the founder of CGC MUN.
