Intensive course FIRST started at PetrSU

The international intensive course FIRST, which is being held online this year by the joint efforts of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Medical Institute from March 29 to May 31, 2021, is dedicated to the development of wellness tourism in the border areas.
Within the framework of this course, 12 students from the Savonia University of Applied Sciences (Kuopio) and 12 students from the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Medical Institute of PetrSU are trained.

As part of the FIRST course, students listen to lectures by Finnish and Russian teachers in English and work in groups on projects of new wellness tourism products in the Republic of Karelia and Finland.

At the end of May, students will present the results of their work to an expert commission, which includes representatives of educational institutions and specialists from the tourism industry. The best proposals will be sent to specialists in the tourism industry for further practical implementation.
