Inter-hostel tournament winners felicitated

ALIGARH : The Allama Iqbal Boarding House, Aligarh Muslim University organized a prize distribution and felicitation ceremony for the winners of the literary and cultural week and inter-hostel sports tournament.

In his address, the chief guest, AMU Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohammad Gulrez congratulated the winners and urged the students to make the best use of the facilities available in the hostel and make a good career in life and bring laurels to their alma mater.

The guest of honour, Prof. Asfar Ali Khan, Director, Directorate of School Education (DoSE) shared his experience of living in Allama Iqbal hall and reminisced about his student days. He said students should participate in literary, cultural, and sports events as it helps in personality development.

The other guests of honour Prof. Abid Ali Khan, Deputy Director, DoSE, Prof. Mohammad Muzammil, Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Prof. Zaki Anwar Siddiqui also addressed the students and distributed prizes and certificates to the winners.

Wardens, including Mr. Shakeel Ahmad Alvi, Mr. Mohd. Aiyub, Dr. Syed Faiz Zaidi and Mr. Mohd Ashraf urged students to take part in co-curricular activities and shape their personalities.
