Inter-school debate held at the STS School

ALIGARH : Rayyan Asif (STS School) won the first prize in the inter-school debate on ‘Over-expectations of parents adversely affect their children’s performance’, organized by the STS School, Aligarh Muslim University. The second and third prizes went to AMU Girls’ School students, Alveera Hasan and Arushi Tomar, respectively.

The event was judged by Dr. Muneer Aram Kuzhiyan and Dr. Md. Danish Iqbal of the department of English.

In his presidential remarks, Principal, Mr Faisal Nafis said that the objective of the programme was to enhance the public speaking skills of the students and help them how to articulate their thoughts and ideas while expressing themselves at public forums. He congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts made by all the participants, adding that there is always a room for improvement.
