Inter School Quiz competition held

ALIGARH : The S.T.S. School (Minto Circle), Aligarh Muslim University organized an inter-school quiz competition under the Sir Syed Day celebrations, on ‘Sir Syed and Aligarh Movement.

Noor Aqdas and Hifza of AMU ABK High School (Girls) secured the first position, while the second position was shared by the team of Arif and Mohd Amir of RMPS AMU City School and Azka Shafiya and Areeba Parvez of AMU Girls School. The third position was given to Praveen Kumar and Ayeman Hafiz of S.T.S. School.

The quiz competition comprised a written round, warm up round and the question-answer session related to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s life, his educational reforms and the impact of the Aligarh Movement on society. The participants were divided into teams.

The special guest, Dr. Naila Rashid, Principal, Ahmadi School for Visually Challenged, urged the participants to focus on the opportunity that such events give them for personality development and not get disheartened if they fail to garner victory.

Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal of the school, congratulated the winners and urged the participants to develop rational thinking that Sir Syed vouched for the most.

Mr. Nooruzzaman Arshad, along with Mrs. Ghazala Tanvir, conducted the programme.
