Inter-School Zonal level tournament starts in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR : Department of Youth Services and Sports Kishtwar today began an Inter School Zonal Level Sports competition in the discipline of Carom & Chess for U/19 (boys & girls) in Zone Inderwal, Nagseni, Kishtwar, Drabshalla & Padder.
The tournament is being held as per the annual activity calendar issued by the Director General YS&S J&K UT Gazanfer Ali and under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma.
A lot of enthusiasm was seen among the children, while Chief Guest Kharati Lal Sharma (District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kishtwar) declared the Carom & Chess tournament open in presence of Principal HSS Atholi Padder Mangal Singh. The tournament is being held in strict adherence to all precautionary measures of COVID-19 pandemic.
Similar events were inaugurated by I/c Principal GGHSS Kishtwar Surjeet Kumar at Zone Kishtwar.
On the inaugural day of the competition, the carom and chess matches were also played in other zones under the supervision of incharge ZPEOs.
Incharge ZPEO Zone Nagseni Suresh Parihar kick started the event.
At Zone Inderwal and Drabshalla the events were declared open under the supervision of I/c ZPEOs, Sanjay Kumar Sharma and Kailash Gupta, respectively.
