Inter Zonal District Level Boys tournament declared open at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR : Inter Zonal District Level tournament for U14 and U 19 was today declared open here at Chowgan Grounds.

The Sports event has been organized by District Youth Services & Sports Department under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ashok Sharma.

The tournament was declared open by the District Youth Services & Sports officer, Kharati Lal Sharma who was the chief guest of the inaugural function.

Scores of teams from all Zones selected from Inter School Zonal Level, ISZL Tournaments, which were organized at zonal level of District Kishtwar, participated in the event.

Besides a huge gathering of sports lovers, players and sports officials were present on the occasion.

In his inaugural address, the Chief Guest encouraged the youth of the district to showcase talent in their favourite games.

The DYSSO advised the players for hard work which is the most important key to success, besides impressing them to give their best, play the game in a well-disciplined manner.

The inaugural Kho-Kho match started soon after flipping the coin up for toss by the chief guest which was played between Zone Drabshalla and Zone Nagseni.

At other playfields Volleyball & Kabaddi matches started simultaneously under the close supervision of Conveners & Sports fraternity of District Kishtwar .

Zone Kishtwar Shines & procures the 1st position u/19 boys in the major games of the tournament by beating teams of different zones.
