Interactive counselling session for youth clubs organized in District Samba

District Administration, 17th Garhwal Rifle motivate participants for joining Indian Army

 

SAMBA : District Administration Samba, in collaboration with 17th Garhwal Rifle of Indian Army today hosted an interactive cum counseling session for Youth Clubs to motivate the youth for joining the India Army.

During session, Additional District Development Commissioner Tilak Raj Shastri; Colonel Akshay Dogra,17th Garhwal Rifle; Lt. Colonel Pushpinder Singh (Kirti Chakra Awardee) Rajput Rifle; Major Harneet Singh Sudan; DSEO Narinder Gupta, besides youth of 101 Youth Clubs including girls were present.

The session aimed to extend awareness amongst students and youth hailing from remote and far-flung areas regarding the process and eligibility for joining the army. Around 200 youths from Samba and nearby areas attended the session.

The youth were imparted awareness about the complete procedure of joining the Army which included physical and educational requirements and the selection process for various types of entries in the Army.

The lecture was followed by an interactive session in which a number of queries were raised by the students and were satisfyingly answered by the Army officials. The overwhelming response of the participants motivated the conducting unit.
