Interactive session on stress management

ALIGARH  : The Sarojini Naidu Hall, Aligarh Muslim University organized an interactive session on stress management to help the students in coping with stressful situations in day-to-day life.

The resource person, Prof. Roomana Siddiqui (former Chairperson, Department of Psychology, AMU) elaborated on various stages of stress and the physiological responses of the body toward it. She said that reactions to stress are different from responses to stress.

Earlier, in her welcome address, Prof. Shaheen Anjum, Provost said organizing such programmes is of significant value as the students are under pressure because of the shifting of classes from online to offline mode.

She underlined the importance of emotional intelligence and urged the students to note useful tips on self-management and relationship management.

The hall resident also discussed issues related to stress and anxiety with the resource person.

Literary Secretary, Ayesha Firoz conducted the programme.
