Interim results of sports and recreational activities in January

January is traditionally in the center of sports and recreational activities for teachers and employees of PetrSU. Four events took place from the Department of Physical Culture of PetrSU.
On January 23, a master class on working with free weights and on simulators, as well as a lesson aimed at developing flexibility and improving joints were held for teachers at the Fitness Hall sports center.

On the same day, you could try your hand at the first online chess tournament. The competitions were open, together with the teachers, students and representatives of education from the districts of Karelia took part in the tournament. Sysun Alexander Valerievich (IMIT) became the strongest chess player of PetrSU in the overall standings . Note that Alexander Valerievich is a multiple winner of chess competitions and has not left his rivals a chance to win for three years in a row. The second place among teachers and staff was taken by Saksa Heikki Yannevich (RCNIT), the third place was taken by Rego Grigory Einovich (IMIT). The winners and prize-winners of the tournament were awarded with certificates and prizes from the Trade Union Committee of teachers and employees of PetrSU.

On Sunday, January 24, the IFKSiT stadium (Herzen St., 31b) gathered everyone for a ski holiday. The program included relay races for children and adults, a master class on mastering the ski slope. Children and adults alike had a fun Sunday morning! All participants received prizes from the Trade Union Committee of teachers and employees of PetrSU.
