International conference on Safety of Medicine to begin at JNMC on February 10
ALIGARH : The Department of Pharmacology, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University is organizing an International Conference on “Safety of Medicines” and 21st Annual Meeting of the Society of Pharmacovigilance, India (SoPICON) from February 10-11, 2024.
Prof. Syed Ziaur Rahman, Organizing Secretary, said that the conference of the SoPI is being organized at Aligarh after a gap of almost 10 years.
He said that prestigious KC Singhal Oration will be delivered by Dr. Peter Hjelmström, Director and CEO, Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC), Sweden, which is designated as the WHO Collaborating Centre for International Drug Monitoring.
John Autian Oration will be delivered by Dr. Joan D’souza, International Pharmacovigilance Consultant from Switzerland, while Dr. Yvonne Yirenkyiwaa Esseku, Rector, Ghana College of Pharmacists, will be the special guest, he added.
