‘International Infection Preventionists Day’ at JNMC
Aligarh : Faculty members and resident doctors of the Department of Microbiology, Jawharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducted activities commemorating the ‘International Infection Preventionists Day’, highlighting the importance of focusing on infection control activities and applying them in health care centers to prevent infection transmission.
On the occasion, the resident doctors engaged with the paramedical staff for high-quality healthcare practices. They also adopted various JNMC ICUs and HDUs for training and monitoring compliance of infection prevention practices.
“This is a welcome step to improve the practices of infection prevention in critical areas of the hospital”, said Prof Haris M Khan (Chairman, Department of Microbiology and Medical Superintendent, JNMC).
Dr Fatima Khan (Secretary, Hospital Infection Control Committee) briefed the participants on audits and training.
Dr Asfia Sultan allotted the various units to the resident doctors.
