International Labour Day Celebrated at AMU Schools
Aligarh : Special assembly by the students was organised at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Schools to mark the International Labour Day also known as May Day, under the G-20 theme. Speeches were delivered and poems were recited to highlight the importance and rights of workers.
AMU ABK High School Girls organized a special assembly where the students delivered speeches on the related theme. A short questionnaire was also conducted and the students prepared theme based posters, emphasizing that labour is at the core of any work.
In her address Dr. Saba Hasan, Vice Principal said the day is celebrated to recognize the contributions of the working class and the movements against the unfair treatment of workers across the globe.
She extended thanks to the Coordinators of the programme Dr. Farhat Parveen, Mrs. Rizwana Khatoon, Mrs. Simmi Shahid and Mrs. Arshi Khanam.
A special assembly of the students was also organised at AMU ABK HIGH SCHOOL Boys and the importance of workers and Labourers and their contribution was highlighted through Speeches, Poems and Songs.
Dr. Samina, Principal, AMU ABK High School Boys said the students were enlightened about the contributions of labourers to our society and how they are key components of a growing economy.
Dr. Samina invoked the value of dignity of Labour, and stressed on the importance and invaluable contribution of the working class.
