International Women’s Day Celebrated at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi

Srinagar: Department of Agriculture, Kashmir today celebrated International Women’s Day by organizing a conference at Lalmandi, Srinagar.
Director Agriculture Kashmir, Altaf Aijaz Andrabi inaugurated the conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Director highlighted importance of educating women stressing that women need to take active part in decision making, especially in the matters concerning them directly.
He said that women play a vital role in agriculture activities and recognizing their role is important to achieve economic sustainability.
Joint Director Agriculture Extension, Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal, Deputy Director Central, Amir ud din Andrabi and Potato Development Officer, Farooq Ahmad Malik were also present on the occasion.
