International Women’s week: Awareness event organized at OSC Rajouri

Rajouri: An awareness programme for Anganwari workers and students ITI was today organized here at One Stop Centre.
Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh was the chief guest.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh; Deputy Director Planning, Bilal Rashid Mir; Administrator One Stop Centre, Neetu Sharma; Chairperson CWC, Iqbal Shawl; Legal cum Probationary Officer CWC, Shivangi Kant Sudan; Member CWC, Nidhi Sharma; Advocate, Showkat Choudhary, Supervisors of ICDS and other members of OSC, Anganwadi workers and a large number of girl students of ITI were present on the occasion.
In his address, the DDC said that one stop centre is working 24/7 to bring positive and sustainable change in the lives of women of the district and reassure the faith of common populace on the institutions and instruments of justice.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner made the students aware about their rights. He urged upon them to step forward to avail the benefits of various women welfare oriented schemes of the government. He threw light on the role of the women in the society and laid stress on education of the girl child.
Deputy Director planning informed that Sakhi-OSC was established in year 2018 and so far 215 cases of women harassment have been registered by the centre of which 183 cases were disposed of .He said the Sakhi-OSC Rajouri was adjudged as one of the best working OSC.
