International Yoga Day Celebration and inauguration of 3-day Yoga camp at LS College, Muzaffarpur

LS College celebrated the 10th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and fervor under the leadership of Principal Prof. Omprakash Roy. The event included yoga sessions and activities aimed at promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

In addition to the celebrations, a 3-day yoga camp was inaugurated by Prof. Omprakash Roy in collaboration with Prajapita Brahm Kumari Vishwavidyalay. The camp aims to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and practical experience of yoga practices and techniques.

The camp will include sessions on different yoga asanas, meditation, breathing exercises, and holistic health practices. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the philosophy and principles of yoga and how it can benefit their overall well-being.

Talking on significance of International Yoga Day, Prof. Roy said  that International Yoga Day is a positive and meaningful initiative that has benefitted millions of people globally. Itpromotes the ancient practice of yoga to people all over the world. He highlighted the importance of yoga for physical and mental well-being and how it can bring about a sense of peace and harmony in individuals, he further said.

Talking on the theme for this year International Yoga Day, Prof. Roy said this theme emphasizes the holistic benefits of yoga and highlights how it can bring people together in a shared journey towards improved physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It also focuses on the idea of unity and interconnectedness, promoting the idea that through yoga, individuals can find a sense of community and connection with others around the world.

Prof. Omprakash Roy expressed his gratitude to Prajapita Brahm Kumari Vishwavidyalay for their support and collaboration in organizing the yoga camp. He emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into our daily lives to maintain a healthy body and a peaceful mind.

In the camp, most highlighting was the yoga session led by the Principal Prof. Roy was a resounding success, with participants feeling more relaxed, energized, and connected to their bodies.

Prof. Roy highlighted the importance of maintaining the greenery of the campus not just for aesthetic purposes but also for promoting health and well-being among the students, staff, and visitors. He encouraged everyone to continue to take care of the plants and trees on campus and participate in green initiatives to make the campus even more environmentally friendly.

The yoga session was attended by large number of participants from all walk of society in addition to teachers, students and staff of the college.
