Internationally acclaimed artists conduct art workshop for students of Shiv Nadar School Faridabad

Faridabad: Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad (a not-for-profit initiative of the Shiv Nadar Foundation in K12 education), organized an art festival titled, Art Fest 2018, for its Grade 6 to 8 students. The festival comprised art workshops by artists of international repute for the school students. Workshops were conducted by eminent artists such as Gogi Saroj Pal, Niren Sengupta, Pradeep Maitra, Manu Parekh and Jayasri Burman.

The purpose of the art fest was to bring artists of international and national repute to the school and give the students an opportunity to engage and learn from them. Students explored and discovered different forms of art such as gouache, oil, ceramic, water colour, and acrylic, among others. The art fest aimed to help students look at art as a form of expression, feeling, emotions and ideas. Each artist shared their unique art form and style. This event would not have been a success without the tireless effort by our Art Team members Mr. Sujit Kumar Das, Mr. Amal Krishna Paul, Ms. Vidhi Sharma.

Anju Wal, Principal, Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad said, “Shiv Nadar School strives to create an environment that help students to express their creativity. The school believes that artistic pursuit from a young age instills creativity and develops the mind to appreciate and value nature.”
