IREDA Promotes Green Initiatives with “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” and Swachhata Awareness Campaign for Students
Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), today organized a tree plantation drive and slogan writing competition as part of the “Swachhata Hi Seva 2024” campaign at SEVA-DHAM Plus, Sarai Kale Khan, New Delhi. The event was graced by Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director, IREDA and participated by children from SEWA-DHAM Plus.
Addressing the students, Shri Pradip Kumar Das emphasized the crucial role of environmental protection and cleanliness in building a sustainable future. He said, “IREDA is committed to promoting sustainable development and contributing to a cleaner and greener India. We believe that our youth are the future of our nation, and their involvement in environmental conservation is essential for a healthier and more prosperous tomorrow.”
IREDA organized a tree plantation drive, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” and an awareness session for school children on renewable energy. Shri Pradip Kumar Das, CMD, and the children planted saplings symbolizing environmental protection. The children with IREDA officials also took the Swachhata Pledge to keep their surroundings clean.
A slogan writing competition on “Swachhata Hi Seva 2024” encouraged creativity, with winners awarded for impactful slogans. Sadhvi Samta Shri Ji, Director, SEVA-DHAM Plus, expressed her gratitude to IREDA for organizing the event and for their contribution to the community.
