ISDM partners with India Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS) to empower leadership talent for transforming India
New Delhi: The Indian School of Development Management (ISDM) and India Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS) are offering the country’s first of its kind 9-day Leadership Programme, aimed at inspiring, empowering and enabling great minds and talented leaders of the country to play a vital leadership role in the development sector. The programme offers a unique engagement platform for senior leaders to interact with the stalwarts of the social sector.
The talent in the senior leadership of top corporate houses, defence forces, government services etc. has the necessary skills and expertise to address the issues plaguing the country. Having gathered years of experience in strategic problem solving, results- orientation and talent management, these leaders, given the right platform and support, can do wonders for the country’s development. India Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS) intends to achieve this through their flagship programme.
India Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS) is an initiative by Central Square Foundation (CSF), in partnership with the Indian School of Development Management (ISDM), to build and nurture senior leadership talent for the social sector. ISDM is established with the vision to create a vibrant and catalytic ecosystem for Development Management and Leadership.
Talking about the collaboration with ILSS, Gaurav Shah, Founder and Director, ISDM said, “Social sector in the country is witnessing an unprecedented growth and demands for high-quality leadership to take it to the next level. The inaugural batch of India Leaders for Social Sector is all set to begin on 26th January 2018, at the state-of-the-art Ashoka University campus.

The first cohort of ILSS will get an opportunity to interact with many influencers from the social development space. Shri Anil Swarup, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, who is spearheading the collaborative approach of improving education in India, is going to address senior leaders during this 9-day Leadership Program. Shridhar Venkat, CEO of The Akshaya Patra Foundation will share how Akshaya Patra scaled to achieve impact through its implementation of the Mid-Day Meal Scheme across 12 states in India.
