ISRO Chairman, Dr. S Somanath to deliver address at IIIT Delhi 13th Convocation

New Delhi: 13th Convocation of Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) will take place on 26th October 2024 at the IIIT-Delhi campus.  Dr. S. Somanath, Chairman of ISRO, will be the Chief Guest. A distinguished expert in space technology and systems engineering, Dr. Somanath played a pivotal role in the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 near the Moon’s south pole and has led several major missions, including Aditya-L1 and Gaganyaan. He will deliver the Convocation address, offering his insights on the future of space exploration.

On this occasion, Prof. Ranjan Bose, Director of IIIT-Delhi, will present his annual report, highlighting the institute’s key achievements and updates from the past year. The institute will confer B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. degrees, with Sh. Vinai Kumar Saxena, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and Chancellor of IIIT-Delhi, awarding medals to distinguished graduates. Prof. Rajesh Srivastava, Professor at IIT Roorkee, will preside over the event as Chairman.
