New Delhi: ISRO organised a seven-day exhibition, Industry and Academia interactions, and Panel discussion on Prospects and Avenues for New Space in India hosted by India International Centre as a part of their diamond Jubilee celebration.
The Indian Space Association (ISpA) and Satcom India Association supported the week-long event.
Shri. S. Somanath, Secretary, DOS/Chairman, ISRO; Dr. Shailesh Nayak, Director, NIAS and Life Trustee, IIC; Dr. Sachin Chaturvedi, Director, RIS; Shri Shekhar Datt, former Governor, Chhattisgarh; Shri. Suneel Niraniyan, DDG-DOT, Shri Sanjay Kumar, Founder & CEO, Geospatial World; Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Anil Kumar Bhat, DG, ISpA; Shri Venkat Katkuri, Airbus Defence & Aerospace; and Shri Gaurav Kharod, Intelsat-India, participated in the panel discussion. The discussion focused on the post Space-reforms announced by the Government of India and the vital role of industry and academia.
Later, Shri S Somnath delivered an expert talk on the opportunities and trends in the Space sector.
