Daudi Dauddin, a PhD student at ITMO’s Faculty of Technological Management and Innovations, ranked highest in the category Breakthrough of the Year at GSEA Russia 2024, a contest for young entrepreneurs. At the contest, he presented an AI-driven service for patent registration and monitoring that will now receive support from international business communities.
GSEA is a global contest for young entrepreneurs who manage their own businesses. By participating, they can bring their ventures up to the international scale while receiving support from mentors and networking in specific countries or globally. GSEA Russia 2024 is a national stage of the competition; this year, it welcomed over 300 participants, who competed in eight categories: Best Student Entrepreneur; Breakthrough of the Year; Production; Innovations; Social Impact + Sustainability; IT Solutions; E-commerce; and Global Startup.
ITMO PhD student Daudi Dauddin won in the category Breakthough of the Year with his project PatentCore. This AI-based online platform can quickly register new patents and monitor existing ones, making it particularly beneficial for medical startups and pharmaceutical companies. Dauddin’s team had spent 8 months working on the project: attracting investments, purchasing servers, hiring new developers, and securing support from a strategic partner.
All winners of the contest will be supported by international business communities Young Presidents’ Organization, Equium, Entrepreneurs’ Organization, YPO Legacy, and Atlanty business club; winners also receive six months of access to Sberbank’s entrepreneur club Delovaya Sreda Premium. Dauddin’s team already offers a free service through which startups can conveniently apply for certification of computer systems. The developers are slated to release the first version of the platform in late March.
