ITMO University and Zyfra Group Collaborate on Advanced Artificial Intelligence Solutions

The industrial software developer Zyfra will collaborate with ITMO University on its Master’s program . Together, the partners will train specialists for industrial projects involving digital transformation and artificial intelligence. As per the agreement, students will get to work on cases at Zyfra while the company, for its part, will share its expertise: company staff will teach classes and work on joint projects

The agreement was officially signed at ITMO in the presence of the university’s Rector Vladimir Vasilyev and Zyfra CEO Sergei Emelchenkov. As part of the partnership, the program curriculum will be expanded with a new course, Domestic Solutions for Digitization, developed by specialists from the company. In addition, the program’s students will participate in solving real-life cases for Zyfra, such as developing digital industrial assistants and designing technologies for industrial IoT. The company’s experts will teach as well as host workshops, case games, and demo days for the students.

“Our partnership will allow us to boost the competencies of both our students and our teachers. Thanks to the knowledge and skills they acquire in the program, our graduates will emerge onto the job market as trained specialists. I’m confident that we will be helpful to Zyfra, too, and enhance the company’s staff pool through our graduates. We will also work together on useful projects for the digital transformation of industry,” commented ITMO University Rector Vladimir

The university’s also plans to establish a joint laboratory in the field of digitization and digital transformation, as noted by Diana Syunyaeva, the head of the educational program Business Transformation Technologies and Strategies.

Zyfra Group is involved in the digitization of industry: the company develops and integrates digital industrial solutions based on its in-house production management platform ZIIoT, provides access to a development environment for platform applications, and is developing the robotic industrial transport industry. Zyfra’s solutions are already ensuring effective and uninterrupted operations at industrial sites in Russia, the CIS, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

“As a leader of the industrial tech market, Zyfra surrounds itself with a professional community that, through joint projects and innovations, will promote and popularize the best Russian IT solutions for the industry. It’s important for us to work with ITMO, one of the leaders in training IT specialists, to develop knowledge and competencies, provide the university with industrial cases, and train qualified young specialists well-versed in the use of modern Russian IT products. We also want to utilize ITMO’s great potential to develop new high-tech products involving AI,” commented Sergei Emelchenkov, the CEO of Zyfra Group.
