IWMP organises awareness programme on Water Preservation & Ground water Harvesting methods

KULGAM : IWMP Kulgam today organised a day long awareness programme on Water Preservation & Ground water Harvesting methods here at mini-secretariat Kulgam.

The programme was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat. Present on the occasion were ADDC, ADC, Project Manager IWMP, ACR, ACP, Tehsildar Headquarter and other officers.

The programme was attended by BDC’s, PRI members, Chairman of all Watershed Committees and people from various areas of the district.

During this day-long programme experts from IWMP apprised the participants about the methods and steps involved in Ground water Harvesting.

On the occasion the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of Water Preservation & Ground water Harvesting and urged upon the concerned officers to organize more awareness programme in the district to sensitize people about water harvesting methods.
