J. C. Chaudhry, Chairman, Aakash Institute wins the IEBF Excellence award for ‘Transforming Lives through Education’

New Delhi: The 2018 winners of IEBF Excellence Awards were announced today in London at IEBF’s Global Summit. Dr. Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta and Guest of Honor at the Summit, was felicitated with ‘ Global Leadership’ for his contribution towards Economic Development of Malta. Mr. Chinta Sasidhar, Managing Director, KPCL was bestowed with the Excellence award for being ‘Indian Entrepreneur of the Year’ while Mr. J. C. Chaudhry, Chairman of Aakash Institute won the Excellence award for ‘Transforming Lives through Education’.

Some of the other key awards presented at the event included:

Mr. Danny Gaekwad- ‘Innovator of the Year’
Mr. Hemant Goyal, Founder & Chairman, Himalayan University- ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community’
Mr. Sunil Chadda – ‘Contribution in Healthcare Sector’
Mr. Waytha Moorthy Ponnusamy, Hon’ble Minister at Prime Minister’s Department/National Unity and Social Wellbeing, Malaysia- ‘Social Impact’- Fight against social Discrimination’
The event saw participation from imminent business leaders and politicians from various sectors and communities. Rt. Hon. Baroness Sandip Verma, Member of Parliament, United Kingdom, Mr. Rajesh Agrawal, Deputy Mayor of London for Business and Prince Andrew, Royal Knight of the Garter were also a part of the ceremony. Mr. G.P. Hinduja, Co-Chairman, Hinduja Group; Mr. S.P. Lohia, Chairman, Indorama Corporation, Mr. Anil Agarwal, Co-Chairman, Vedanta Group and Former Cricketer and Entrepreneur, Mr. Kapil Dev were also in attendance.

The awards were felicitated to the winners by Mr. Vijay Goel, founder of IEBF and Mr. Sunil Kumar Gupta, IEBF Leader- India.

IEBF Excellence Awards recognize, appreciate and encourage standout performance of Individuals and organizations operating in European Union and India. The Performances are recognized not only from the field of business, but also sports, social and community services, public health, education and Skill Development.
