JAIN Online introduces a postgraduate program in Public Policy to prepare the next generation of policymakers
Bengaluru : JAIN Online, the e-learning arm of JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University) has announced the commencement of admissions for its two-year Online Master of Arts in Public Policy. The program aims at developing the policymakers of tomorrow and providing learners with a comprehensive understanding of both domestic and international policy environments.
Dr Raj Singh, Vice-Chancellor of JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University), said, “With this program, we aim to prepare learners for leadership roles in both the public and private sectors. An MA Program in Public Policy is crucial today, both in India and on a global scale, as it will help professionals deal with complex societal challenges. As rapid technological advancements, shifting geopolitical dynamics, and widening economic disparities continue to unfold, policymakers must devise solutions that align economic growth, social equality, and environmental sustainability together. In India, these programs can play a crucial role in building strategies that promote inclusive growth, advance governance decisions, and address challenges such as misinformation, climate change, and urbanization while also raising public awareness”.
This four-semester program will offer learners a deep dive into crucial topics such as public policy management, public administration, international affairs, public finance management, fiscal policy, sociology, sustainable development, digital governance, political economy, and technology integration in public policy. The curriculum is tailored to meet the evolving needs of policymakers, with electives that include a Policy Talk series focusing on knowledge, wisdom, and ethics.
The program will also open doors to vibrant career opportunities. Graduates of the program can pursue influential job roles in both the public and private sectors such as chief administrative officer, programme director, environmental policy specialist, and foreign policy analyst etc
