Jaipuria School of Business launches Saamarthya Teachers Training Academy of Research (STTAR)

Ghaziabad : Jaipuria School of Business, one of the top PGDM Institutes in Delhi NCR, approved by AICTE Ministry of HRD, Government of India launched Saamarthya Teachers Training Academy of Research (STTAR) on July 15 in virtual mode. The inauguration was attended by over 2000 participants from across the country.

The Academy has been launched with the aim of equipping teachers and leaders of schools with the skills and proficiencies required to create meaningful student learning experiences by developing professional expertise founded on scholarly inquiry, design thinking and research.

STTAR was inaugurated by Dr Dinesh Sharma, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh who said – “the growth of education sector is extremely important for the overall development of our country. Students have to become proficient in academics and also must learn important skills for a purposeful engagement and contribution to the nation’s growth. “Emphasizing upon the importance of teachers, he said that the foundation of a sound education system depends on the quality of our teachers. Initiatives like STTAR will play an important role in enhancing the knowledge base of teachers and that will ultimately benefit millions of students. He congratulated Jaipuria School of Business for this initiative towards the upliftment of the education ecosystem.

The other distinguished speakers included Shri Shishir Jaipuria – Chairman, Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions; Mr Anil Swaroop, Author – Ex-Secretary- School Education & Literacy, Govt. of India; Mr Anurag Tripathi, Secretory CBSE, Govt. of India; Mrs Anuradha Shukla, Addl. Chief Secretary to Dept. of Secondary Education Govt of U.P.; Mr Vinod Malhotra, Chairman, Academic Council, STTAR; Mr Mark Parkinson, Educationist UK & Malaysia and Mr Ken Joshua – Educationist & Scientist, Senior advisor, STTAR.

Mr Shishir Jaipuria said that the education ecosystem globally is going through a paradigm shift and the same has been accelerated on account of rapid advancement in technology and unprecedented situation caused by the pandemic. He said that these changes are going to stay and every educational institution has to adapt to this change with agility and resilience to survive and that the schools will be required to prepare themselves for hybrid teaching in future. He was quite upbeat about this initiative taken by Jaipuria School of Business and congratulated the team for its launch.

Mr Vinod Malhotra, Chairman, Academic Council, STTAR said; that we are delighted to announce that the training academy can undertake online training courses for teachers at various schools in UP both private and government to assist them to continue their teaching on an on-line mode. This will help all schools to complete the syllabus on time. The entire teacher’s community will benefit by this exposure to the latest technology.

Mr Anil Swaroop underscored the importance of teachers training as the key factor in nation building. He shed light on the need of the teacher training programs and emphasized on how the challenges of the pandemic can be turned into an opportunity by equipping the educators with effective strategies and skills to adapt to the frequent shifts in the education landscape.

Mr Anurag Tripathy highlighted the initiatives taken by CBSE towards teacher empowerment and shared his views on the various steps that can be taken towards their professional development. Ms Aradhana Shukla said that the nation is witnessing a significant surge in the demand for trained teachers and for improving education outcomes for building world-class and future ready teachers.

Other speakers, Mr Ken Joshua & Mr Mark Parkinson shared global perspective on education landscape and the importance of teachers training as a wholesome measure to help education move in full throttle.
