‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ at AMU City Girls High School

 

Aligarh : Science teachers of the AMU City Girls High School, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) called for the careful use and preservation of water supply in the ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ observations at the school.

Javed Akhtar (School Vice Principal) remarked: “There has been serious tension on water resources and it is high time to take appropriate actions for water conservation”.

Teachers, Pakeeza Khan, Tehmina Ashraf and Tanveer Sultana spoke about harvesting, transporting, and storing rainwater.

“Using the limited water supply wisely and caring for it properly are few ways to conserve water. It is our responsibility to understand and learn more about water conservation—and find ways to help keep the water resources pure and safe for the coming generations”, they added.

The teachers also spoke about various Government initiatives for water conservation.

Mohd Tariq Hafeez conducted the programme and Farzana Nazeer extended the vote of thanks.
