Jalsa-e-Milad-Un-Nabi celebrations at AMU Girls School

Aligarh: Students recited Naaths (Islamic poetry) and delivered speeches praising Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) with fervour and gaiety during the Jalsa-e-Milad-Un-Nabi celebrations at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Girls School.

Renowned paediatrician, Dr Hameeda Tariq was the Chief Guest, while Prof Masarrat Haseeb attended the function as the Guest of Honour.

“We observe Milad-Un-Nabi every year to mark the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet and to inculcate Islamic teachings among masses,” said Mrs Naghma Irfan, Principal, Senior Secondary School (Girls).

Ms Naghma Irfan, Principal, AMU Girls School also spoke on the occasion.

School students, Amna Rahat, Umaima Radia, Iqra Khan, Iflah Ikram, Nargis and Innama Zehra recited Islamic poetry. Faiza, Maria Afsar, Faiza Nauman, Ifrah Sheikh, Areesha and Ilma Rizvi gave speeches and narrated Hadiths (Sayings of Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him).

Ms Zeba with other school teachers coordinated the programme.
