Jamia Hamdard celebrates Founder’s day and commemorates the contribution of Late Janab Hakeem Abdul Hameed Sahib

New Delhi: An online memorial lecture was organized by the Jamia Hamdard to celebrate the Founder’s Day and to commemorate and reminisce the fond memories and great contribution of our revered Founder, Late Janab Hakeem Abdul Hameed Sahib, the great philanthropist, able visionary, and benefactor.

Prof. (Dr.) Padmanabhan Balram, FNA, FNASc and the Former Director of IISc, Bengaluru was the chief guest for the event who gave a detailed lecture on “Chemistry, Biology and the Unity of Nature”.

Professor Ahmed Kamal Pro-Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard, underlined the historic advancements and objectives of this institution and thanked Prof. Balram Padmanabhan for accepting the invitation for gracing the occasion.

The Lecture was chaired by Professor Syed Ehtesham Hasanain, Vice Chancellor Jamia Hamdard who thanked Professor Padmanabhan and paid tribute to late Hakeem Abdul Hameed Saheb for his services towards education, society, research and emphasized on the fact that Jamia Hamdard was built on the basis of his dream. He highlighted that the positive effort will continue in the direction of educational excellence and providing Jamia Hamdard a global recognition.

Jamia Hamdard is working towards vision of Hakeem Sb, which was intended to give back to the society and to create opportunities, he added.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Janendra Kumar Batra. The event saw the participation from the Academic, non-academic staffs, students , researchers, researchers and scholars from India and abroad.
