Jamia Hamdard organises an International webinar on “Application of Deep Learning for COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment”
New Delhi: Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Jamia Hamdard, successfully organised an informative International Webinar on APPLICATION OF DEEP LEARNING FOR COVID 19 DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT amidst the Coronavirus outbreak following the norms of social-distancing.
Keynote speakers were AI experts from the world’s reputed Universities and research institutions who shared their view towards the breakthrough scientific discoveries and the solutions related to it which is actually the need of the hour.
The event was held under the patronage of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Seyed Ehtesham Hasnain, Hon’ble Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Ahmed Kamal. Chairman of the event was Dean, Professor M. Afshar Alam, Webinar Secretary, IEEE Branch Counsellor Dr Parul Aggarwal, Associate Professor, Department of CSE, Jamia Hamdard, Teacher coordinators Dr Jawed Ahmad and Ms Richa Gupta.
The webinar was attended by faculty members from Jamia Hamdard and many other Universities all over India mainly IIT BHU, Kashmir University, Pondicherry University, MANUU, Hyderabad. The webinar also had International participants from China, Egypt, Iran, and Europe, IEEE representatives of the branch, and students from other universities.
Dr Parul Agarwal, Branch Counsellor of IEEE JHSB while providing an extended warm welcome to key-note speakers, emphasized the fact that how AI is a powerful tool and can be of great help in the current scenario.
Dean, SEST, Jamia Hamdard Professor M. Afshar Alam underling the current prevailing pandemic discussed the deep learning and its importance in finding the solution for COVID 19.
Prof. (Dr.) Nevine Makram Labib, one of the keynote speaker spoke on the topic “Data analytics for Covid-19” where she discussed the key challenges we face in adopting latest tools and technologies, along with training resources, that can help deliver breakthrough results. She explained about the role of data analytics, opportunities, and problem-solving methods in the current scenario.
