Jamia Hamdard organizes webinar on “Impact of Covid’19 on Technology with reference to Sustainable Development Goals”

New Delhi: Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Jamia Hamdard organised the 2nd International Webinar on “Impact of Covid’19 on Technology with reference to Sustainable Development Goals” on 20 June, 2020 .

The webinar was organised under the patronage of Prof (Dr) Seyed Ehtesham Hasnain, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard and Prof (Dr) Ahmad Kamal, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard. The Webinar was chaired by Prof M. Afshar Alam, Head & Dean, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SEST.

The webinar was successfully conducted by the organizing committee members including Dr Farheen Siddiqui, Dr Mohd Abdul Ahad, Mr Rahil Beg, Dr Sherin Zafar and Ms Gautami Tripathi.

The Department received overwhelming registrations from faculties, researchers, scholars and students across the globe. Over 1000 participants registered for the webinar. The webinar was hosted on the Google Meet platform and was also streamed live on YouTube. The technical support for organising the Webinar was provided by Mr Rahil Beg. Ms Nida Iftekhar and Ms Samia Khan coordinated the backend operations.

The event was hosted by the Student coordinators Mr Ayush and Mr Laraib. The webinar started with the holy verses from Quran followed by a Welcome address by Dr Farheen Siddiqui. The Inaugural Address was given by Prof M Afshar Alam. Prof Alam emphasised on the theme of the webinar highlighting the importance of the Sustainable Development goals. The inaugural address was followed by the lectures from the invited speakers.

The webinar was graced by the presence of the Invited Speakers from Universities across the globe who shared their views during the Webinar.

Prof. Dr. Nevine Makram, Chair of Computer and Information Systems Department, Sadat Academy for Management Sciences, Egypt discussed about the The Digitalization of Health Care During COVID-19 and presented some of the case studies. She also highlighted the future of medical technology devices in the time of COVID-19.

Prof. Dr. Lyudmyla Symochko, Faculty of Biology; Uzhhorod National University, Ukraine spoke on the Biodiversity crisis and COVID 19.

Prof. Dr. Gulsun Kurubacak, Anadolu University, Turkey talked about the The Skills Beyond 21st Century: Sustainable Development Goals in the Transhumanist Era.

Dr.Irma Aslanishvili, Tbilisi State University, Georgia talked about the Smart Models Of Computer Sensor Networks In Georgia.

Dr Anna Laszkiewicz, Department of Management, University of Lodz, Poland talked about the Ecommerce and marketing perspective.

Dr. Daniel Dasig, De La Salle University, Dasmarinas, Philippines discussed Navigating Smartly in the VUCAD and COVID 19 global landscape through the Harvard Public Narrative Framework

The Webinar successfully highlighted the concept of Sustainable Development with reference to Covid-19. An overwhelming feedback was received from the participants. The webinar concluded with the Vote of Thanks presented by Dr Mohd Abdul Ahad.
