JAMMU : In connection with the World Theatre Day 2022, Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) today inaugurated a seven-day theatre workshop for College Students, here at K.L. Saigal Hall, Culture Academy.

After inaugurating the workshop, Sanjeev Rana, Additional Secretary, said that the objective of the workshop is to educate the youth, especially the college students, about the power of the performing arts. He further said that the students will be able to learn the basics of theatre art and these learning skills will enhance their personality and confidence as well. Rana also expressed gratitude to Rahul Pandey, Secretary, JKAACL, for his persistent guidance for organising such types of programmes in J & K with a view to promote the essence of culture and traditions of the U.T. among the youth.

The workshop is being conducted by Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, SDI, while Sanjeev Gupta ,Culture Officer JKAACL, and Anil Tickoo, ACO JKAACL, are the Expert faculty. Assad Ullah Wani Cultural officer at JKAACL is incharge of the workshop.

The students of three colleges namely GGM Science College, SPMR, Partap Memorial College, and Women College Parade are participating in this workshop. Students believe that initiatives like these will help them in building their all round personality.
