Jammu and Kashmir: DC Udhampur reviews implementation of PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises scheme

 

UDHAMPUR : Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today chaired a meeting of officers of Agriculture & allied departments, besides Bankers to review the progress under Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme in the district.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Sham Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer, Sanjay Anand, Chief Horticulture Officer, Rajinder Kumar, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Executive Engineer JKPDCL, District Sericulture Officer, Rajeev Gupta, Area Marketing Officer (District Nodal Officer) Anuj Verma, Lead Bank Manager besides district Heads of other departments and representative from J&K Bank were present in the meeting.

While reviewing the progress under PMFME, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized upon the officers to maintain better coordination among the departments and the banks, so that better facilities may be provided to beneficiaries for the successful implementation of the scheme in the district.

He stressed on the need to work in a dedicated and professional manner to minimize the number of rejections of loan cases, under the scheme.

For the purpose, he directed to establish a facilitation centre for the guidance and support of the beneficiaries. He instructed the concerned officers to regularly update the sanction and disbursal of loan cases to his office for further timely necessary action.

The DC called upon the bankers to be more receptive and friendly towards PMFME applicants and alerted them that he will himself see the reasons for rejections in each and every rejected case.
