Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission hosts 3-day training on Model Cluster level Federation

Jammu: Three day training on Model Cluster level Federation organised by Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) (Umeed) for block programme Managers and Group Leaders of Cluster Level Federations (CLFs) concluded, here today.

The Training was imparted to the participants by National Resource Persons from Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India.

The Training was held in two groups of 40 participants each amid strict adherence to Covid-19 SoPs.

The aim of the training was to strengthen Cluster Based Organizations (CBOs) based on the economic and livelihoods activities.

Additional Mission Director, Sham Lal highlighted the overall achievements of JKRLM in respect of Jammu Division, He said so far, 20312 SHGs have been federated into 168 cluster level federations and 1749 village organizations by mobilizing 191039 households out of which 126760 have been involved in different livelihoods activities. He further informed that during the last financial year Rs 12.00 crore were provided to SHGs as capitalization in the form of Revolving fund and Community Investment Fund in the Division. He also informed that 5167 SHGs have availed Rs 105 crore, as loan in the form of bank linkage in different doses for different activities.

In the last quarter social mobilization round were completed in nine (9) erstwhile blocks, while in the tenth (10) and other ten erstwhile blocks the social mobilization round is in progress.

He said social mobilization rounds aim to provide opportunity for mobilization of target households into SHGs at village level by organizing gram sabhas & providing opportunity to join women’s SHGs at their door steps.

In concluding remarks, he also stressed upon Block Programme Managers, where Model Cluster Level Federations (M-CLFs) have been promoted, to impart necessary training to all the members of respective Cluster Level Federations (CLFs) in order to achieve the objective.
