Jan Abhiyan: Div Com Jammu listens to people’s issues

Jammu: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today held a public sunwai camp and listened to public grievances as a part of Jan Abhiyan started by Jammu and Kashmir Government in the run up to Back-to-Village phase III programme.
On the occasion, scores of public delegations, individuals participated and put forth their demands for their redressal.
A deputation of West Pakistani Refugees sought early issuance of certificates of legal heir in favour of WPR families, another delegation sought a transformer in a Panchayat of Miran Sahib Block, other delegations and individuals also apprised the Divisional Commissioner about the issues of public concern.
The Div Com gave a patience hearing to all the deputations, individuals and passed on the spot directions to the concerned officers for resolving the issues. He also assured the public that all their genuine demands would be redressed at the earliest.
Later, the Divisional Commissioner convened a meeting with health department officers to review the availability of oxygen cylinders in the GMC and associated hospitals.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chauhan, Principal GMC Jammu, Dr Nasib Chand Digra and other concerned officers.
The Div Com sought the details of requirement and availability of oxygen in GMC and associated hospitals. The concerned officers apprised the Div Com about the requirement and stock position.
It was informed in the meeting that GMC is going to install liquid oxygen plant to meet the shortage of oxygen.
The Div Com asked the concerned officers to procure adequate stock of cylinders to meet the shortage and ensure regular supply of cylinders to associate hospitals.
