‘Jan Abhiyan’ motive to bring governance to doorsteps: DDC Anantnag

Anantnag: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, K.K Sidha today said that the main aim of Jan Abhiyan is to bring governance to the door steps of the public and immediate redressal of public problems.
While briefing the media persons about the Jan Abhiyaan, the DDC said that that Jan Abhiyaan has been launched in all the 335 Panchayat Halqas of the district and Block coordinators have been appointed in this regard for successful implementation of the said programme.
During this programme public issues will be addressed including issuance of various certificates by revenue departments on fast track basis besides pending applications of pensioners, scholarships, KCC, PMKISAN, Golden Cards, PMKVY, online registration etc will be disposed off and issued to eligible beneficiaries at village level.
He said the Block divas for three days will also be observed under this programme.
The DDC said that detailed circular regarding completion of all works within 20 days has been issued to departments PHE, R&B and all line departments were asked to frame an action plan for next year keeping in view the demands of people put forth during the Abhiyaan.
During the third edition of B2V designated officers who have done excellent work will be appreciated and issues like drug addiction for which already NASHA MUKUT BHARAT ABHIYAN has been launched, will also be highlighted and collective efforts to get rid of this menace will be discussed.
He said that PRI representatives and BDCs will be fully involved in this programme to ensure the governance at door steps besides, 10 lac rupees have been spared for every halqa to complete the pending B2V2 works up to 30th of this month .
The DDC also said that during the programme all SOPs will be followed and people will be made aware about this virus and precautions thereof.
