Jan Bhagidari: Door to Door awareness conducted by DCPU and MSK in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR : District Child Protection Unit Kishtwar, in collaboration with Mahila Shakti Kendra, conducted a door to door awareness programme in Ward no 3 of Gurian under ongoing Jan Abhiyan ahead of B2V4.

The local residents were made aware about the Beti Bacho Beti Padho, Ladli Beti Scheme, Child rights, legal protection against child labour, demerits of child rag picking, role of education in uplifting the deprived society, women empowerment, legal protection against women Harassment and the departments playing key role in handling these issues.

They were also informed that the District Child Protection Unit, under Mission Vatslaya, Mahila Shakti Kendra and One Stop Centre, are the core department which would be taking care of child and women in any condition.

The awareness event was conducted by Protection Officers (Non Institutional and Institutional cares) from District Child Protection Unit Kishtwar, Touseef Iqbal Butt and Deepika Bandari respectively.

Among others Heena Jan, Gender Specialist, DHEW Mission Shakti Kishtwar and Meenakshi Sharma (Social Worker DCPU-Kishtwar) also accompanied the above officers in the endeavour.
