Jan Lintsen reappointed member of UvA Executive Board
The Supervisory Board of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) has reappointed Jan Lintsen as a member of the UvA’s Executive Board. The decision was taken following positive recommendations from both the Works Council and the Student Council. The reappointment will take effect on 1 September 2021 and is for a period of four years.
Within the Executive Board, Lintsen is responsible for the finance and operations portfolio. The Supervisory Board greatly appreciates both the manner in which Lintsen has performed during his first term and the financial policy pursued in recent years. According to Supervisory Board chairperson Marise Voskens, it is therefore positive for the UvA that Lintsen is available for a second term of office: ‘Jan is a stable and complementary member of the Board. His portfolio pertains to the support of the core tasks of the UvA and is in capable hands with him. In addition to ICT and real estate management, there will also be additional challenges in the field of valorisation and internal services in the coming years. Areas in which Jan is happy to use his knowledge and experience.’
The Central Works Council and the Central Student Council both gave positive recommendations on the reappointment.
