Jan Sunwai Camps held at Billawar, Basohli blocks to mark 2nd Block Diwas
Kathua: District Development Commissioner, Om Parkash Bhagat today called upon the field functionaries to develop enhanced synergy for quicker redress of people’s grievances besides achieving development targets before Phase III of B2V.
He was speaking at “Jan Sunwai Camps” to mark 2nd Block Diwas held at Block Billawar and Basohli today.
SSP Kathua Shailendra Mishra, ADC Billawar Sandesh Kumar Sharma, District and sectoral officers were also present during the proceedings of the camps.
During the proceedings of Jan Sunwai camp at Billawar, individuals and elected PRI members projected issues related to dilapidated conditions of PWD & PMGSY roads , drinking water scarcity, damaged PDD poles and wires, inclusion of eligible families in BPL list, restoration of damaged school buildings, slow pace of repair and new Panchayat Ghar, pending payments under 14 FC and MGNREGA works etc
After giving a patient hearing, the DDC passed directions to PDD to rectify damaged poles and wires before the end of this month. He directed officers to complete the identified works on war footing. Many of the issues were disposed of on the spot, while directions were issued to resolve other before 30th September.
While reviewing the status of Public Services delivery viz issuance of Domicile, Income, SC, ST, OBC certificates, ADC Billawar apprised DDC that there is no pendency of applications in the block.
Earlier, the DDC inspected stalls of Social Welfare, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Sheep husbandry, Revenue , J&K bank put up for disseminating information about various Centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in the district.
The DDC also presided over the proceedings of Jan Sunwai camp at Block Headquarter Basohli and held grievances redressal session with PRI members and locals.
ADC Basohli Tilak Raj Thapa, Tehsildar and block level officers were present.
BDC Chairperson, Basohli, Sushma Jamwal highlighted issue related to non availability of mining material. The BDC Chairperson Mahanpur demanded Crates at the disposal of panchayats, re- verification of ration cards and early completion of roads. BDC Chairperson Dhar Mahanpur demanded road connectivity for remote Ghodal panchayat.
The DDC directed officers to take appropriate action for the redressal of grievances registered by the representatives and update them about action taken in this regard. He also suggested joint team visits to achieve 100% Aadhaar seeding in individual beneficiary oriented schemes by 30th September.
